  • Tomaas is a German fine art and beauty photographer based in NYC, used in commercial publications such as Vogue, VS and Twill
  • He mixes fine art techniques for visually stunning and stimulating imagery
  • In an interview Tomaas revealed he derives inspiration from locations and puts together "moods" for photoshoots, from locations he visits.
  • inspired by Surrealists such as Salvadore Dali and Giorgio De Chirico
  • Captivating, cinematic, atmospheric, dramatic portraiture
  • For the most part puts an unusual spin on "beauty"
  • Deep contrast and Depth
  • Pushes for deep, rich and saturated colours within his photos
  • Backgrounds do not giveaway location - are timeless, detatched from place and time
  • Sins of Jezebel = collab with artist Januz. Inspired by filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowksy
  • ironically dark, unpolished completely unexpected from beauty photography
  • Sins of jezebel use digital darkroom techniques, photo manipulation to create abstract shapes
  • Unearthly creations
  • Unusual media to create textural dimension - ie plastic forks, cling film, metallic foil, crumpled paper
